Not to long ago, I sat in on a training call by McKay Earl, founder of The 90 Day Marketer. McKay often brings up interesting and controversial topics that come up in online marketing and I especially liked this one. . .

“Dangers of We-Do-It-for-You Systems . . .Do they actually work? Are they worth the investment? What are the downfalls? And More…”

Here are my feelings on the subject. . .

As online marketers, we must focus on the extremely important task of learning to brand ourselves. . .to distinguish ourselves from the rest of the crowd. Even beginners can start doing this a little bit at a time. The learning process should be continuous and consistent – The more you can put into this, the better you get at it and the more successful you become.

So, no, you do not want to sign up for the Complete-We-Do-It-For-You system – that does EVERYTHING for you and doesn’t allow you to see or understand exactly what’s actually going on. You might earn some fast and short-lived prospects and profits early on, without even understanding how it happened. You and everyone else who is taking advantage of the system. I think it’s a fair question to consider whether an average person can really start and run an Internet based business today. The answer is going to vary on the type of person.

It doesn’t take any particular intelligence level to start and run an Internet based business. As long as you have average intelligence you can certainly do it.

The Internet doesn’t particularly care where you live right now either. As long as you have Internet access, and a computer to work from, you can run a business on the Internet today.

The other thing the Internet doesn’t particularly care about is your current income level. What you lack in money you can make up for by investing more time.

All of these things would suggest that an average person really can start and run their own Internet based business. However there is a little more to it than this!

For starters not all people particularly want to sit in front of a computer and work hard. This makes it difficult to operate an Internet business because you need to sit down and go work if you expect to succeed.

The exception to this would be if you outsource the day to day operations of your business. There certainly are people who have more money than time and would prefer to do this. And there are people who have more money than they have the desire to become an Internet marketer.

However these people are smart enough to understand the opportunities are there and will hire people to do the work for them. These are usually the people who succeed in a large scale way.

Your Personal Brand is how you are perceived by others, your expertise, how you interact with people you come in contact with and yes even how you present yourself through your website and the internet.
